East Rim Ranch offers a wide diversity of local wildlife ranging from Elk that move thru the ranch to Desert
Mule Deer that travel the ridges and deep brushy draws. While we don't have a feral hog problem we do
occasionally see some hogs along Calamity Creek and in tree rows along the creek.
And of course as this is West Texas we have healthy population of Javelinas.
Due to two years of good rains we have numerous coveys of Blue Quail and a good number of Dove.
Smaller wildlife also include Coyotes, Bobcats and Badgers are also found on the ranch.
Ranch has recently been put under a wildlife tax exemption, and more bulk protein feeders and water
troughs and a couple of small tail water ponds have been added to improve the number and quality of game.

The ranch just got a new 25 GPM well hooked to help feed the miles of poly line and watering troughs that
help water the wildlife. Cattle have not been on the ranch for almost 5 years now, and the grasses are
improving every year.
Power was recently run along almost the entire West  side of the ranch close to Hwy 118.
